We are exploring a proposal to transform Bulahdelah Reserve, West Lakes Shore, from a basic green space into a vibrant, biodiverse landscape designed to support local wildlife and enrich community learning.
The concept aims to reintroduce threatened plant species and expand native, coastal and Indigenous vegetation across the site. This approach will also create a healthier ecosystem, providing vital habitat for insects, birds and other wildlife.
If progressed, the upgraded reserve would not only boost local biodiversity but also offer new educational opportunities. The vision includes developing the area as an outdoor learning environment, giving children, families and community groups a place to explore, discover and reconnect with nature through hands-on experiences.
