They make us healthier, happier and more active. As a responsible pet owner, you have an obligation to care for the health and wellbeing of your pet and to keep them safe and happy.
We are currently offering financial assistance to help desex and/or microchip your dogs and cats.
In South Australia, it’s compulsory for all dogs and cats to be:
- Microchipped by 3 months of age or within 28 days of ownership
- Desexed by 6 months of age, or within 28 days of ownership, if they are born after 1 July 2018
When you desex and microchip your pet, you’re doing yourself, your pet and your community a big favour.
The benefits to desexing and microchipping your pet are:
- Improves pet’s health and longevity
- Prevents unwanted litters
- Helps reunite you with your pet as quickly as possible if they get lost
- Assists with overcrowding in shelters
