being digital is a statewide program offered through all SA public libraries to help adults build confidence using technology.

Digital literacy covers the essential skills you need to use technology safely and effectively, including:

Using laptops, tablets and smartphones
Staying safe online
Browsing the web
Installing and using apps
Understanding your operating system (Windows 10, Android, iOS)
Exploring new and emerging technologies

Digital learning sessions

We run a range of beginner to intermediate sessions at our libraries and community centres to help you build your digital skills.

All sessions are free

10 Minute Tech Help These sessions are designed to support customers with brief and basic help on the following topics: Office basics (Word, Excel and Power Point) Internet basics Email basics Social media Smartphone/ tablet help Windows device help Settings help Online forms Please note, each session is limited to 5-10 minutes per person. This service is intended for quick, general questions and is not suitable for extensive consultations, such as setting up devices or troubleshooting complex issues. No bookings are required - simply drop in! Free sessions are held weekly at: Ngutungka Henley: Mondays 10 - 11am Civic (Woodville) Library: Tuesdays 2 - 3pm Ngutungka West Lakes: Wednesdays 10 - 11am
Digital Essentials For Life Come along and learn the essentials to your digital life! Learn all the skills you need to make your smart phone or work for you. Each week we will focus on a different topic, then have time for Q&A. Sessions are held weekly at: Smartphone Essentials: Ngutungka Henley on Mondays from 2 - 3pm. Smartphone Essentials: Ngutungka West Lakes on Thursdays from 10 - 11am.
Other Digital Help sessions Throughout the year we also run various sessions on topics such as: Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel 3D Printing and Design Virtual Reality (VR) Artificial Intelligence (AI) Photo and video editing LinkedIn Learning, BorrowBox, Libby, hoopla, and other digital library resources you can access as a library member. Be Connected The Be Connected series of programs are an Australian Government initiative aimed at increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of older Australians when using digital technology. We are an official partner of the program and offer many different sessions each month ranging from how to spot an online scam, connect with others, navigate the internet safely and much more. Minecraft Club - Make Your World (9 - 14 years)

Join us each term for exciting, hands-on science and technology activities. This term, we're inviting you to dive into the world of Minecraft and unleash your creativity!
