A year‑round program to help our community thrive in sustainability.
We’re excited to launch Sustainable Spaces, Thriving Places – a brand‑new education program delivered through our community centres across the year.
Instead of one‑off workshops, this program brings you a connected learning experience across four seasonal themes.
Each quarter you’ll find a mix of talks, hands‑on workshops, and curated reading and learning resources to help you dive deeper into the topics that matter to you and our environment.
Whether you’re a gardener, a curious learner, a home energy upgrader, or someone wanting to live lighter on the planet, there’s something for everyone.
How the Program Works:
Each quarter focuses on a sustainability theme. You’ll see:
- Workshops and talks hosted at our community centres
- Sessions led by local experts, skilled community members, and trusted workshop providers
- Recommended books, videos and resources selected to match the theme
- Multiple sessions across different centres, so you can join in wherever you are
Quarterly Themes for 2026:
January – March: Gardens & Wildlife
Discover how to create thriving gardens that support local habitats. Learn about native plants, nature‑friendly backyards, and how to welcome wildlife into your outdoor spaces.
