Doing Good Sh*t

Are You Doing Good Sh*t?

Doing the right thing for our community can be pretty simple.

Back in 2025, we kicked off our Good Sh*t campaign by introducing compostable dog waste bags across all dog bag dispensers in our City. It was a small change with a big impact, making it easier for dog owners to clean up after their pets while helping reduce our environmental pawprint.

Now we're taking the next step...

Rewarding the Good Humans

Earlier this year, we asked our social media community for ideas to encourage pet owners to pick up after their dogs. Local resident Samantha suggested a photo competition rewarding people who are already doing the right thing.

And that's how our "Are You Doing Good Sh*t?" Competition was born!

Snap a photo of yourself bagging and binning your dog's waste in the City of Charles Sturt and you could win a $50 Petbarn voucher.

How to Enter

It's easy:
  1. Bag your dog's poo.
  2. Bin it.
  3. Snap a photo.
  4. Complete the online entry form below.
If your photo shows you bagging and binning your dog's waste somewhere within the City of Charles Sturt, you'll go into the draw to win. We'll be drawing one winner each month from October 2026 to March 2027. That's six chances to win simply for helping keep our city clean.

Terms and Conditions apply.

Why it Matters

Dog waste isn't just unpleasant. When left behind, it can impact the enjoyment of our shared spaces and affect local waterways, wildlife and the environment.

By bagging it and binning it, you're helping create cleaner and safer parks, beaches, streets and reserves for everyone to enjoy.

More Good Sh*t Initiatives

The Good Sh*t campaign is all about making it easier, more rewarding and more visible to do the right thing.

Our campaign started with compostable dog waste bags and we're continuing to explore new ways to encourage responsible pet ownership across our City.
