Energy, Heritage and Tree Maintenance Grants

Our Energy, Heritage and Tree Maintenance Grants program provides residents with valuable support for enhancing home energy efficiency, preserving buildings and structures of heritage value and maintaining regulated and significant trees.

The program includes:

Heritage Conservation
Residents can access a heritage advisory service and financial assistance for conservation, maintenance, and restoration work on Local and Representative heritage buildings and structures, to support our City’s historic and cultural identity and character of neighbourhoods.

Energy and Climate Change Advisory Service
This program offers energy efficiency assessments to all residents. This includes a detailed report with cost-effective recommendations for reducing energy consumption, alleviating energy costs, and supporting the transition to a low-emission future. As well as raising awareness around known climate change risks at the household level (e.g. preparing for extreme heat).

Tree Maintenance
Financial assistance is available for the maintenance pruning of Significant and Regulated trees, ensuring that our City’s urban tree canopy remains healthy and contributes to its aesthetic and environmental value.

We are finalising the Energy and Climate Change Advisory Service program and are unable to accept applications at this time. This notice will be removed once the program is available.
