  • Laptops for loan - If you don't want to use one of our 3 fixed public PCs, why not grab a laptop from staff and find a space anywhere within the facility to study, work or play.
  • The Workshop - This flexible space can be tailored towards an activity or event and is a home of learning and discovery.
  • Kitchen - Get your bake on in this fully functional kitchen. Join a workshop to learn, smell and taste different foods.
  • Digital Lab - Keep an eye out for our tech sessions with a difference - VR, robotics, coding, 3D printing and much more!
  • Studio - An exciting new come ‘n try space that will provide a glimpse into the new, the quirky and a world of imagination with artists, innovators, collectors and curiosities.
  • Library - Whether you love fiction, non-fiction, magazines or large print, our shelves are filled with them all. Look out for our Spotlight collection, featuring the latest releases and recommendations, as well as board games to enjoy with family and friends, our Make, Bake and Decorate collection of kitchen gadgets and cake tins and our Binge DVD collection of your favourite movie and TV series. Community languages in Croatian, Greek, Polish and Serbian are also available. Don’t forget, you can also access a huge selection of online resources via our Digital Library and you can request and collect items at Ngutungka West Lakes from any public library across the state.   • Boredom Busters - A selection of Board Games (King of Tokyo, Azul, Grabbit, Frog ID, Men at Work, Out Foxed, Arboretum, Catan, Rush Hour, Wingspan, Qwirkle, Ticket to Ride, Cartographers, Scrabble) and Playstation 4 games (Spyro, Lego Avengers, Minecraft; Little Big Planet 3; Lego Star Wars; It Takes Two; Minecraft Dungeons) available to play in-branch, as well as loanable STEM kits (Circuits, phone microscopes and Edison Robots).
  • Changing Places - The building is all-accessible and features a Changing Places, a toilet facility to support people with higher needs and their carers.
  • Kids play area - comfortable and fun spots to sit and read.

  • Council customer payments accepted during opening hours (EFTPOS only - no cash or cheques)
  • Justice of the Peace services on Fridays, 10am-12pm, subject to availability. Please always check our calendar on the day to confirm.
  • Home library service for people unable to visit the library
  • Merchandise for sale - bamboo cup, seeds, earphones (EFTPOS only)
  • Express collection – one-week loan for popular items (no reservations, no renewals, two item limit)
