The Fire Danger Season is set each year. It usually runs from 1 November to 30 April.
During Fire Danger Season:
- Keep all inflammable growth under 10cm.
- Clear property of all flammable materials, including green waste.
- Clear overgrown dry grass.
We're committed to the safety and wellbeing of our community. If there are concerns about potential fire risks, we may investigate. If we identify fire danger, we have a process that ensures risks are properly managed.
In the first instance, we contact the property owner and provide them with the opportunity to address the concern on their property. If required, we can take further action to resolve the issue including carrying out the works at the owner’s expense.
If you are reporting a concern, photographs can be helpful and we appreciate if you can provide the exact property address.
