Skate Deck Art Project

What happens when a love for art and skate boarding collide? You get an awesome opportunity for your art to be part of a community art installation at the new St Clair Skate Park, due for completion later this year.

Skateboarding and art communities are subcultures who often influence one another while seeking to express themselves and reinterpret the world around them. Through the Skateboard Community Art we are asking for young people to transform the surface of the skateboard into a platform of expression.

What do I need to do? Get designing. Once designs/artworks have been submitted, a selection will be chosen, printed onto specialised art skateboard decks and created into a community art installation and resulting exhibition. The Skateboard Community Art project is open to all young people aged 12-25 years of age who live, study, work and/or play in the City of Charles Sturt.
