The Brocas is a youth‑focused community space supporting connection, creativity, learning, and wellbeing for young people aged 12-25. It’s a place to hang out, join programs, get support, and be part of the community.
Programs, activities & events
- Weekly programs: A mix of fun, affordable activities, creative sessions, drop‑in opportunities, and youth‑led programs.
- School holiday programs: A variety of activities designed specifically for teenagers.
- Youth services: Visiting youth workers, programs, and support services are available throughout the year.

Changemaker Program
If you had $1,000 to spend on a community project, what would you do? Young people aged 12–25 can become Changemakers and make a positive difference in their community. Contact the team to get involved.

Hire a space
We offer rooms and spaces suitable for youth programs, workshops, meetings, and creative activities. Youth-specific groups and organisations (ages 12-25) are welcome to hire the venue. Book online below or contact us on 0417 865 094.

YEL! Program
YEL! Youth Event Leaders is a program designed to empower young people aged 12-25 years of age to co-design events and programs for young people within Charles Sturt.
YEL! is about young whole self showing up, sharing, advocating, creating and working together to increase connection and engagement for all young people.
As a YEL! member you will have the opportunity to:
- Co-design and co-lead youth events and programs
- Develop leadership skills
- Build effective communication skills
- Gain an understand project planning
- Work with other young people who are passionate and like-minded
