Community Languages

Your Language. Your Library.

We're proud to offer books, magazines, movies and music in 19 languages, and growing. Search in your language, or visit any branch and ask us to help you find something.

Stay connected through language

For many of us, language is how we stay close to family, culture and home - a grandparent's stories, a childhood favourite, the news from where you grew up. Our collections can help you maintain those connections, share them with your children and grandchildren, or discover a new language and culture. Whether you're reading in your first language, helping a child become bilingual, or learning a language for travel, study or personal interest, we're here to support your journey.

We want to hear from you

We're growing our language collections, and we want them to reflect what our community actually wants to read, watch and listen to.

  • Novels and popular fiction
  • Magazines and newspapers
  • DVDs and movies
  • Music CDs
  • Language learning resources

Our Digital Library also offers eBooks, audiobooks, streaming services and online learning resources, including Road to IELTS, in multiple languages, available anytime from your own device.
