Given the unfolding situation relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in Australia and across the world, here at the City of Charles Sturt we want to be proactive and clear about how we can stay healthy and are making changes to the way we do things. Each day we will provide updates to the services and events that are impacted along with the latest information and recommendations from WHO, SA Health and the Government.

Events and programs

On Monday 11 May at 11am, our Civic, West Lakes and Findon libraries will open their doors to our community, with our Henley Beach and Hindmarsh libraries opening at 9:30am the next day.

We will continue to operate under a different service delivery in accordance with the Stage 1 restrictions in place which means:

  • maximum of 10 people to be allowed in each of our libraries at any time, with social distancing of 1.5 metres strictly enforced
  • browsing and borrowing services are available, with our call and collect service to continue for those wanting a contactless service
  • public PC and Wi-Fi access is not available
  • printing, photocopying, scanning and faxing services are not available
  • good hygiene measures remain in place.
