
Matt Romaine: General Manager of City Futures
Matt Romaine joined the City of Charles Sturt after nearly two decades of senior roles across four other metropolitan councils. With a background in town planning, Matt has led diverse areas of council operations, focusing on driving innovation, delivering savings, and enhancing service levels.
Matt holds qualifications in urban and regional planning, is a graduate of the Governor’s Leadership Foundation Program, and actively contributes to the not-for-profit sector through volunteer work.
Matt’s passion lies in connecting communities to the future, as practically as possible.
As General Manager of the City Futures division, Matt oversees:

- Development Services
- City Property and Open Space
- City Planning and Sustainability (including Economic Development)
