We welcome suggestions of new titles for our library collection. Before you request a title, please check the library catalogue.

Please note: Due to the changing DVD and Blu-ray market in Australia, we may have difficulty sourcing certain titles – including movies and TV shows that are released on streaming platforms such as Disney, Paramount, Stan, Netflix, Prime, etc. We recommend searching JB Hi-Fi before submitting a purchase suggestion. If the show/film is not available on the JB Hi-Fi catalogue, we are unlikely able to source it through other Australian suppliers.

We check each request by Charles Sturt customers and make every effort to source suitable titles to add to our collection. We're interested in material that has been published in the past 18 months. We do not take requests for pre-publication titles. We try to purchase titles older than 18 months as an eBook on the Libby or BorrowBox apps.

If a title is purchased, we'll place it on hold for you. If we're unable to purchase a title, we'll leave you a message on your card.

*Please be aware that we are only able to accept 2 requests per customer per month. This is to ensure that our library service maintains a balanced collection and spreads it resources objectively across a community of 120,000+ residents.
