Artist opportunities

The City of Charles Sturt has a strong commitment to the development and provision of arts and cultural opportunities that are progressive, innovative and embrace a variety of stimulating approaches, mediums and scales.

In recognising this, the City of Charles Sturt has adopted a Public Art Policy and Guidelines to assist the community to create and install public art within the city.

Throughout the year, the City of Charles Sturt also offers a variety of opportunities in the arts, including, public art commissions, exhibition spaces, film competitions, community and public art projects, place makers grants, events and festivals sponsorships and artist-led workshops and book launches to name a few.

We’re seeking expressions of interest for a community artist to produce an Aboriginal Cultural Mural at the Holbrooks Road Underpass along Linear Park, working with a group of students from the adjacent Nazareth High School to develop the mural design. EOI closes midnight, Sunday 28 June 2020.

Local artists are welcome to exhibit artwork at no cost at our Civic (Woodville), Hindmarsh or West Lakes Libraries. We have space for artworks and sculptures large or small, indoors or outdoors.

Through grants, we're giving the community the chance to transform our public spaces. The program allows local people to lead the change they want to see in their local area.
