Join us for this informative session as we explore AI safety, cognitive science, and ethical decision-making with Lana.

Artificial Intellengence has the potential to change our decision-making for better or for worse.

This session will be presented by Lana, a cognitive scientist by trade and a PhD student from the Australian Instituate for Machine Learning. Lana investigates how doctors make decisions using AI and how best to mitigate potential risks from algorithmic harms. She also uses ethics and safety principles to ask questions about AI as decision-makers for humans.

In this session, we will discuss:

  • What is machine learning (AI) and how does it work?
  • What kinds of decisions is AI good for and what is it less suited to
  • Introduction into cognitive science
  • How humans have previously interacted with technologies.

Bookings are essential.
