The 'Living Streets' initiative is about more than just upgrading roads. It's about rethinking our community spaces to enhance connectivity and safety. This initiative is currently being implemented in both Renown Park and Albert Park.
Albert Park Projects
- May Street (Port Road to West Lakes Boulevard): Reconstruction is complete! This project was expedited due to the critical condition of the road, ensuring safety and accessibility for all.
- Murray Street (Port Road to West Lakes Boulevard): Nearing completion, this project features significant enhancements, including the potential addition of a bike path. This development follows the closure of Murray Street at Grace Street, aiming to promote cycling and enhance local connectivity.
- Glyde Street (Port Road to West Lakes Boulevard): Preparations are underway to upgrade this essential route, enhancing its structure and surface.
- Grace Street (May Street to Murray Street): Set for a revamp to improve road quality and traffic flow, ensuring a smoother commute for residents and visitors.
- Jervois Street (May Street to West Lakes Boulevard): Plans are in place to elevate the condition of this street, focusing on long-term durability and improved user experience.
