$500,000 Grant Boosts Urban Greening in Renown Park

31 March 2025

We are grateful to have received a $500,000 Cooler, Greener, Wilder Grant as part of the South Australian Government's Urban Greening Strategy for Metropolitan Adelaide. This substantial grant will support the funding of the Renown Park Living Streets project, enhancing the local area through innovative biodiversity-sensitive design features, including the installation of rain gardens. These additions aim to improve tree canopy coverage, reduce urban heat, and boost biodiversity within our community.

This project directly supports our Tree Canopy Improvement Strategy, which aims to achieve a target of 25% canopy cover by 2045. The Renown Park Living Streets project brings us another step closer, reflecting our ongoing commitment to increased tree planting.
