Waste Collection Dashboard
Our Waste Collection Dashboard provides clear and transparent information about waste collection services across our City.
Data is updated monthly and reports delayed bin collections per 10,000 bin lifts.
Each month, we complete more than 354,000 bin lifts across general waste (landfill), recycling and organics services. This approach provides a consistent and meaningful way to track service performance over time.
The dashboard allows the community to monitor trends and understand how our waste collection services are performing as part of our commitment to continuous improvement and service reliability in partnership with our contractor Cleanaway.
Currently, most delays are due to contractor driver shortages. Cleanaway is implementing a range of workforce and operational measures to stabilise services and improve reliability.
This dashboard helps the community stay informed and track progress as we continue working with our contractor.

Delayed Collections in the City of Charles Sturt - Month by Month Reporting
The data below illustrates delayed bin collections (landfill, recycling and organic) per 10,000 households and percentages of total delayed bin collections across the City month by month.
Contract performance benchmark for missed collections is 0.1 % per week. Where the benchmark is not met penalties are applied and the contractor is required to put in place rectification strategies to address the non-performance.
