Paul Sutton has been with the City of Charles Sturt for over 11 years, and CEO since 2015.
Paul has 20 years of local government experience. He’s worked in roles from a range of disciplines like General Management, Governance, Strategy and Policy, Organisational Development and Program Review.
His leadership has a strong focus on collaboration. He works to bring people and agencies together to create a better community.
Paul is an approachable and authentic leader. He has experience in addressing complex challenges and works to create strategic outcomes. He’s committed to driving an effective and flexible public sector to deliver services and infrastructure to the community in a responsive and efficient way.
Paul has tertiary qualifications in engineering and management, including a Master of Business Administration (University of Adelaide).
He has been a member on various boards. Most recently, Company Secretary and Executive Committee Member of the IPAA SA (Institute Public Administration of Australia). He’s also Member of the IPAA National Council.
Paul was awarded fellowship of the National Institute in 2016.
