Jubilee Reserve Redevelopment – Statement

28 August 2026

We acknowledge the statement released by the North West Junior Soccer Association (NWJSA) regarding the Jubilee Reserve Redevelopment.

NWJSA has been a valued user of Jubilee Reserve for many years and we recognise the important role they play in providing affordable and inclusive sporting opportunities for children and families across Adelaide's western suburbs.

We have undertaken an extensive community and stakeholder engagement process over the past 12 months, involving site users, schools, sporting clubs and the wider community. NWJSA representatives have participated throughout that process and their feedback has been carefully considered alongside feedback from other stakeholders.

The Jubilee Reserve Redevelopment seeks to deliver improved community facilities that support a broad range of users while creating enhanced opportunities for participation in sport, including women and girls' sport.

The Master Plan adopted reflects the need to balance competing demands within a shared community space and maintains the overall number of junior soccer pitches across Jubilee Reserve and the adjoining West Lakes Shore Primary School oval. There will be no loss of playing fields as a result of the project.

All runoff requirements meet the necessary standards and safety requirements as confirmed with Football SA.

To clarify:

  • We’ve unlocked additional green space available for community use by partnering with West Lakes Shore Primary School
  • We have been actively engaging with the NWJSA throughout the planning and design process and ensured they retain access to existing number of playing pitches
  • We have confirmed all runoff requirements with Football SA to ensure the facility meets the necessary standards and safety requirements

We understand NWJSA's concerns regarding the future operation of its program and remains committed to constructive discussions with sporting clubs and stakeholders as the project progresses.

We value the contribution of all sporting organisations that call Jubilee Reserve home and remain focused on delivering a redevelopment that benefits the community now and into the future.
