24 January 2026
Due to forecast extreme heat (code red), the City of Charles Sturt will open our Civic Library on Woodville Road, Monday 26 January from 9am to 5pm as a cool and safe place for our community.
The library will operate as a cool refuge from the heat to support those who need it.
Council payment services will not be available, however library loans, free Wi‑Fi, drinking water and a comfortable indoor space to rest and shelter from the heat will be available. This space is for our community members who may not have access to a cool place during the day.
Please take care, stay hydrated and check in on friends, family and neighbours during this period of extreme weather.
