We are pleased to share that Breakout Creek Stage 3 / Purruna Pari, received 2 awards at this year's Parks and Leisure Australia (PLA) SA/NT Awards of Excellence.
The project received:
- Environment and Sustainability Initiative of the Year
- Park of the Year
Park of the Year is a particularly significant achievement, representing the highest level of recognition for a public open space project across the SA/NT region.
These awards recognise the strong partnership between the City of Charles Sturt, the City of West Torrens and Green Adelaide, and their shared commitment to restoring ecological function, enhancing biodiversity, celebrating culture and connection to Country, and creating a high-quality recreational and community asset not just for our City but for South Australia. It also reflects the collective efforts of all three organisations and the many partners who have contributed to the project’s success.
