We recently brought together green thumbs across our city to acknowledge their achievements as part of Our Spring Garden Celebration.
This much-loved annual event encourages us all to connect with one another based on a passion for gardening. It fosters new friendships, promotes environmental awareness and helps grow a sense of pride in our vibrant City.
Mayor Angela Evans and Open Space Community Planner Steven Hoepfner spent a number of weeks visiting these beautiful gardens and spaces and loved chatting to the people behind these magical green spaces.
The celebration brought everyone together at our Woodville Civic Centre to celebrate all nominees and winners.
ABC Gardening Australia’s Sophie Thomson captivated the audience with stories from her own garden and reminded us of the value of cultivating urban jungles that invite local wildlife to flourish.
