For the next 24 days leading up to Christmas, step into a whimsical Elf Village where a new door opens daily, revealing raffle prizes, hands-on activities, and special messages.

This festive experience has been brought to life by local artist Mignon Clift, with prizes generously donated by local businesses, community organisations, and clubs. Some of these generous donors include Henley Breeze Café, Henley Community Garden, The Henley Woodworkers, and The Marine Discovery Centre (view the FAQ’s below to see the full list).

Some of the prizes that will be raffled off are displayed in the glass cabinets at Ngutungka Henley. Which prize is behind which door? If you want to know that... you’ll just have to come back each day to find out!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped create this enchanting Elf Village.

The team at Ngutungka Henley hope this Advent Calendar brings joy, connection, and wonder to you and your family.

And don’t forget to check out everything happening across our city this Christmas at charlessturt.sa.gov.au/christmas.

Starting December 1, each day leading up to Christmas reveals a new ‘door’ in the Advent Calendar - featuring an interactive activity or a raffle prize for the community.

From December 1, each day of the week leading up to Christmas features a new ‘door’ opening on the Advent Calendar to shows a different interactive activity or raffled prize for the community.

On days featuring a raffle prize, the surprise raffle will be open for the whole day at Ngutungka Henley, for the community to come in and enter. At the end of that day, the prize will be raffled off, and the winning entrant contacted.

The best way to get involved is to come along and see which is the activity/prize up for grabs on the day – and get involved!

The Elf Village Advent Calendar runs from December 1 to Dec 24 – all the days in the month of December leading up to Christmas.

Not to give too much of the magic away... but some examples are Christmas Bingo in the library, a scavenger hunt, a Grinch-themed day, and interactive highlights from local organisations.

Families may also enjoy exploring the interactive Elf Village Explorer Challenge – a festive seek-and-find activity.
