Grange Recreation Reserve has long been home to the Grange Cricket Club and the South Australia Amateur Soccer League, and now, with the opening of the brand-new two-storey sporting facility, the precinct is stepping into an exciting new chapter.

The new building offers so much more than upgraded changerooms and modern amenities (though it has plenty of those too). It now features a welcoming function space, dedicated female and male changerooms, umpire facilities, office areas and community-minded spaces designed to support the needs of these local clubs and everyone who calls this reserve home.

The facility is also home to the USC Lion Soccer Club and Adelaide Monarchs Soccer Clubs, making it an even more vibrant hub for local sport.

Every part of this project has reflected what makes community sport so special, bringing people together, on the field and off.

“This is a home that honours your past and supports your future,” Mayor Angela Evans shared with the clubs. “For the broader community, it is an asset that will serve generations, a place where young people can play, volunteers can lead, families can gather and local pride can continue to grow.”

The building was designed by architects SMFA, with construction by MYKRA.

This project was made possible thanks to combined funding of $6.25 million, including $3.25 million from the City of Charles Sturt and $3 million proudly supported by the State Government through the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing.
