$40K Grant for New Age-Friendly Storytelling Campaign

We are proud to launch Our Stories, Our Strengths, a powerful new community storytelling campaign made possible by $40,000 in Age Friendly funding by the Office of Ageing Well.

This multimedia initiative celebrates the voices, wisdom and lived experiences of older adults across our city. Through video, photography and written stories, it aims to challenge ageist stereotypes, build intergenerational understanding and strengthen social connection.

Working alongside schools, students, local groups and media partners, Our Stories, Our Strengths will amplify positive stories of ageing and leave a lasting legacy through public events, storytelling workshops and a growing digital resource library.

The project directly supports South Australia’s Plan for Ageing Well and Council’s commitment to creating a community where people of all ages feel seen, heard and valued.
