We are aware of privacy concerns regarding public toilet doors across select locations in our City.
These doors are a dated design (around 20 years old), utilised throughout metropolitan Adelaide, with the aim of these doors to reduce unsavoury behaviour in our public toilets through passive surveillance.
Many of our public toilet doors no longer feature this design, however we recognise some are still in operation.
We are undertaking an immediate audit of doors across all our public toilets and will address any privacy and functionality issues as required.
Temporary measures have been put in place in the interim including the installation of boarding and screens.
