We are proud to announce this year’s winners of the ever-popular Our Spring Garden Celebration.
This initiative is a ‘hands on’ community event that encourages us all to connect with one another based on a passion for gardening. It fosters new friendships, promotes environmental awareness and helps grow a sense of pride in our vibrant City.
Mayor Angela Evans and Open Space Community Planner Janet Willoughby were fortunate to visit a range of beautiful gardens across the community during the program, with all entries having their own unique sense of beauty.
We hosted one of our biggest celebration events ever, with more than 150 people in attendance at our Woodville Civic Centre as participants joined together to celebrate all nominees and winners.
ABC Gardening Australia’s Sophie Thomson also compiled a special video package centred on how gardens connect us.
A special thank you to Janet Willoughby who marked the end of an incredible 35-year career with our organisation. Her legacy and connection with the community will continue through this popular program.
