Preliminary works for the redevelopment of Lot 1000 Woodville Road at St Clair begins today, Monday 13 February.
The redevelopment is a result of the State Government owned land being sold to developer Peet, who will execute a new master-planned residential community, located between the Woodville Railway Station and the St Clair Recreation Centre, providing 185 dwellings.
While some trees are being removed, over 250 new trees will be planted through the development of the site. The development has been designed to ensure the significant Moreton Bay Fig (Ficus macrophylla) is retained as part of the public open space.
The site will include more than 30% open space which meets the commitment made in the Woodville Village Masterplan. Every home will be located within 200m of a high-quality landscaped park to ensure easy access to communal green areas for all residents.
The landscape masterplan embraces green and sustainable principals, with a focus on improving the tree canopy, which is a critical focus for the City of Charles Sturt.
Residents next to the development will receive communications from the developer Peet as well as from the civil contractor once earthworks commence.
To see the masterplan, please contact Peet or visit their website for more information. The project will be completed by 2026.
