Upcoming Woodville Road Works

9 September 2022

As part of the Woodville Road Streetscape Upgrade, we have a number of road restrictions and detours in place at Norman Street.

Norman Street works (road closed)

Part of the works is the rehabilitation of Norman Street from Woodville Road. Works are to commence in Norman Street on 14 September for approximately 4 weeks (subject to weather and other circumstances).

Access
Vehicle access in Norman Street will be made available for residential traffic only.

Staff and visitors are to use Kemp Street to get to the Civic car park.

Pedestrian access will be maintained in Norman Street with the Civic Centre doors still available for staff and visitors. There will short periods of time where access may not be available, as paving moves close to the front doors. Please follow pedestrian management signs onsite.

Parking
On-street parking will not be available on Norman Street during these works.

Civic Centre Forecourt  (Norman Street to Kemp Street)

The next stage of works will be commencing Monday 20 September, with kerb and gutter work being undertaken first, and then the contractors will be moving back towards the Civic Centre entrance. These works will be carried out throughout September and October with civil works to complete in approximately November.

Access
Pedestrian entry to the Civic Centre and Library will be available from Kemp Street, Norman St and the back car park entrance. Please follow the pedestrian management signs at all times.
