Take part in a community-led project to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in our City.
Do you want to take action on climate change? This is your opportunity to help lead this project.
We want to work with our community to set a whole of City GHG Emissions Reduction Target and develop an Action Plan by the end of 2023.
Community-led actions could include:
- Transport – encourage active transport (cycling, walking) and use of public transport
- Food – support local and organic food producers, and reduce food waste
- Waste – promote the repair and reuse of products
- Energy – promote solar PV, battery storage, purchase of green energy, and energy efficient building design
- Community Action – share information and support our community to take action
Both council-led and community-led initiatives are necessary to make a difference. We’re already working through initiatives within the community and we now want you to be part of leading initiatives with the community.
