Construction to Commence on Woodville Road

17 June 2022

We are excited to announce that we've appointed SEM Civil as the contractor for the Woodville Road Streetscape Upgrade project.

With preliminary works now complete, construction of the streetscape between Port Road and the Woodville Train Station will commence in July 2022 with the project due for completion by June 2023.

Power Line Environment Committee (PLEC) works began in late 2020 to underground the powerlines from Norman Street to Port Road by SA Power Networks. This included power cabling and connection to properties, installation of new lighting and removal of old lighting. In addition, SA water installed a new water main in preparation for the streetscape upgrade to commence.

This has been a significant project we’ve been working through over multiple years, consulting with the community of local residents, businesses and key users of the road. Feedback from the consultations has helped to shape the final streetscape design which will transform Woodville Road.
