Community Update on 'Optus Monopole' Application
Council has received a number of enquiries concerning the 'Optus Monopole' application lodged in June on the PlanSA portal for a planning assessment.
The application involves a telecommunications tower measuring 30.5 metres in height and associated equipment shelter located 11.4 metres from Trimmer Parade within the south eastern section of the Grange golf course.
Council is awaiting further information from the applicant to be able to carry out the assessment. Given the nature of the application, there are a number of issues that need to be addressed. Once the requested further information is received, the application will be publicly notified pursuant to the public statutory notification process.
Once the application is on public notice, the public will have an opportunity to view and comment on the plans. It is likely that there will be representations received as part of the public notification process and the application will be presented to the Council Assessment Panel for a decision.
Advice regarding the date of the Council Assessment Panel meeting will be circulated when a meeting date has been established.
