The South Australian Public Health (Legionella) Regulations 2013 require owners of premises in which High Risk Manufactured Water Systems are installed, to notify Council within 24 hours if the results of microbiological water testing has resulted in the presence of:
- 1000 or more colony forming units of Legionella per millilitre of water in their cooling tower and/or
- 10 or more colony forming units of Legionella per millilitre of water in their warm water system.
There are no associated costs with notification.
- Complete the Notification form.
Continue your normal process for when results of microbiological water testing has resulted in:
- the presence of 1000 or more colony forming units of Legionella per millilitre of water in your cooling tower, and/or
- the presence of 10 or more colony forming units of Legionella per millilitre of water in your warm water system.
