What is the Mobile Library service?
Meet Moby, the Mobile Library - a library on wheels that makes it easier for everyone to access books and reading, wherever they are. Moby brings the library experience directly into the community, so you don't have to travel to a branch to enjoy borrowing and connecting with stories.
Operating all year round, Moby visits shopping centres, retirement villages, and a variety of street locations across the City of Charles Sturt. It's all about access: making sure books and library resources are available close to home.
Moby is designed with inclusivity and convenience in mind:
- Public Wi-Fi to help you stay connected
- Wheelchair access for ease of entry
- Pull-out seating for comfort while browsing
- Solar-powered charging stations for your devices
And of course, Moby carries a wide-ranging collection of books, magazines, and other resources ready for you to borrow.
Moby follows a four-week rotation, visiting public locations across our City. To see where Moby will be in 2026, check out the calendar below.
We look forward to welcoming you aboard Moby soon!
