Seaton Community Children’s Centre is a not-for-profit, community-based early childhood education and care service governed by a parent committee. The service provides a warm, inclusive, and high-quality environment for children and families. Licensed for up to 52 children per day, the service caters for children aged 6 weeks to school age. It is located on Glenburnie Street, Seaton, adjacent to Seaton High School. The service features a spacious outdoor learning environment with shaded areas and a Kitchen Garden, supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and connection to healthy food. With over 40 years of service to the local community, we deliver professional early childhood education and care and is regulated and assessed by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority. The service is a Flying Start, 3 year old preschool offering a teacher led, play based program in the 2 years before school. The service provides nutritious daily meals and snacks in line with guidelines from Nutrition Australia, aiming to meet approximately 50% of children’s daily nutritional requirements while in care. Dietary and medical needs are supported in consultation with families and relevant professionals. With a authentic commitment to the inclusion of every child in our program. The service has a strong commitment to reconciliation and work alongside Kaurna and Zenadth Kes Elders to support children's understanding of culture and language.
