Shop Local

Purpose

Attractive, welcoming and vibrant business precincts encourage people to visit, stay longer and spend locally. Whether it's a refreshed shopfront, an inviting outdoor dining area, live music, a gallery space or a creative window display, every improvement contributes to a more engaging customer experience and a stronger local economy.

The Shop Local grants program supports businesses to improve the appearance, accessibility and activation of their premises while contributing to more vibrant, creative and connected neighbourhood centres. By investing in projects that enhance both individual businesses and the surrounding streetscape, the program aims to increase visitation, support local enterprise, strengthen community pride and create destinations that people want to experience.
