Signs on Local Government Land

Temporary advertising signage is to promote events organised by not-for-profit organisations and community events held within the Charles Sturt Council area.

Special consideration may be given to the promotion of events in neighbouring council areas. Signs which are deemed to be inappropriate or offensive to the community at large, or to any particular community sector will not be permitted.

We also have advertising opportunities for not-for-profit organisations with the Port Road Banners Advertising program.

Signs of a commercial nature cannot be supported. Local businesses may choose the option of advertising their business by way of a moveable A-Frame sign when placed in accordance with Council’s By-Law 2 – Moveable Signs.
