Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Mayoral Make-A-Book Literacy Challenge for 2023.
It was another amazing year as we received over 400 original entries, with 58 individual winners and 1 class winner. Click here to see the full list of winners.
We were privileged to welcome many talented storytellers and illustrators to Woodville Town Hall where the winners were congratulated and celebrated in-person by Mayor Angela Evans and all in attendance.
The challenge, which has been running since 1979, provides kids the opportunity to explore their creativity by creating their own book - writing with a real purpose for a real audience.
The program runs each year from February to May and is open to any pre-school or primary school aged kid who lives or studies in our City.
