Paint the Westside REaD & Lizzie the Literacy Lizard

Lizzie is our official mascot of our Paint the Westside REaD program (PTWR), which is a community program for children 0-5 years that aims to support a love of reading and early literacy within Charles Sturt. Most people would have followed Lizzie's journey from the very beginning when she was just a tiny egg. They would have watched as that egg grew bigger and bigger the more we read to it until it eventually hatched into the beautiful lizard we all love and see around today.

Lizzie loves many things like dancing, singing and playing, but most of all she loves to read because reading makes your brain grow. You can see her sometimes at the library or at select daycare centres, pre-schools and reading events.

Lizzie is even starring in her very own TV series so make sure you visit the page below for all Lizzie and PTWR content!
