Sports Awards

PLEASE NOTE: Nominations for the 2024 Sports Awards are now closed.

More information about the awards event will be provided to all nominees shortly. This year, all finalists and subsequent winners will be announced on the night.

Thanks again for nominating.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of community sport, and sporting achievements wouldn’t be possible without the diligent work of the many volunteers – the passionate coaches, officials, administrators, parents and supporters who share their knowledge and skills and give their time generously to advance grassroots sport every week.

We encourage local sporting clubs and associations to help acknowledge and celebrate these outstanding sporting contributions occurring within our community.

These awards provide a tangible way for us and our local community to recognise and commend the remarkable achievements of those people making a significant and genuine difference to sport in our local area.

The 2024 Sports Awards is the fourth running of this annual event, to be held on Thursday evening, 23 May 2024 during National Volunteer Week in the historic Woodville Town Hall, and hosted again by 7 News presenter, Mike Smithson.

Our all-star judging panel returns for the 2024 rendition, including Leah Cassidy (CEO, Sport SA) John Cranwell (CEO, Active Inclusion) and Ben Hook (Sunday Mail, Sports Columnist).
