We maintain our established street trees under our Whole Street Pruning Program. This 3-year program visits every street in the City once every 3 years, on an ongoing cycle.
When we receive a tree maintenance request outside of our Whole Street Tree Pruning Program, we will inspect the tree within 20 business days and, if required, prioritise tree pruning according to the level of public risk.
Outside of this program, you can make a reactive tree maintenance request in situations where tree branches:
- Present a potential public safety risk
- Are dead or dying
- Are obstructing the road or footpath
- Are obstructing property access
High Risk: Response time is within 48 hours after inspection.
Medium Risk: Response time usually within 6 weeks after inspection.
Low Risk: Will be managed in the street’s scheduled pruning as part of the Whole Street Pruning Program.

Please note, we do not undertake pruning of trees:
- To reduce leaf litter, tree debris or other tree mess.
We appreciate your assistance (where willing and able) to tidy the area in front of your property during times of high leaf-fall. If you are unable to assist, you can make a request for reactive Street Sweeping here (road only).
