PlanSA DAP Applications

For PlanSA DAP applications, please log into the DAP system and select Submit mandatory building notification or Submit mandatory re-inspection notification.

Alternatively, email BuildingInspections@charlessturt.sa.gov.au outlining the type of inspection along with the activity date (when the site is ready for inspection), builder’s details and any relevant comments or documentation.

Please note – the activity date in the PlanSA DAP system refers to the actual date of the inspection which must be one clear business day’s notice of the notification and as per our mandatory notifications, a 24-hour stop work direction pursuant to Section 146(3) of the PDI Act. An example of one clear business day for a mandatory notification for Completion of Steelwork prior to pour of footing - Stop work direction pursuant to Section 146(3) of the PDI Act is:

  • Notify Council on Friday
  • One clear business day is Monday
  • Stop work direction is Tuesday (Activity/Inspection Date)
  • Pour date is Wednesday

If the notification is either being provided with an activity date in the past, or with insufficient notice, this may make you liable to a council expiation ($750).

A person who fails to notify at the mandatory notification stages is guilty of an offence. Maximum penalty: $10,000 and Expiation Fee $750.
