Community Plan
Our Community Plan guides our plans, strategies and actions and is written with our local community in mind. We’ve made a number of changes to our Community Plan, thanks to your input and suggestions and our updated Community Plan 2020 – 2027 is now ready for you to review and comment on. Consultation closes at 5pm, Monday 31 August 2020.
Animal Management:
Our Animal Management Plan proactively addresses issues related to dogs and cats in our City.
The Animal Management Plan 2021 – 2025 is important for:
- having healthy, active pets and owners in our City
- supporting ‘best’ or ‘recommended’ animal management practices
- maximising desexing, microchipping and registration requirements
- mandated within the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995
- working with our community … and more

Public Health
We proactively support the health and wellbeing of our community through our Public Health Plan.
The Public Health Plan 2020 - 2025 will:
- build stronger communities and healthier environments
- protect against public and environmental health risks and respond to climate change
- help to prevent chronic disease, communicable disease and injury
- assist to strengthen the systems that support public health and wellbeing
