Beach replenishment program

2 March 2020

This month the Department of Environment and Water continues the beach replenishment program for West Beach, with sand being moved from two locations at Semaphore.

- From Monday 10 March to Friday 14 March, sand will be moved from the Semaphore South breakwater to the beach near Rockingham Street, West Beach. Sand will be moved along the beach from the Henley Sailing Club to the affected area.

- From Monday 17 March to Thursday 9 April, sand will be moved from between the Semaphore and Largs Bay jetties to replenish the West Beach Park dunes. Sand will be moved along the beach to Point Malcolm where there is an existing beach access path, then moved by road to West Beach.

All works will be completed by Thursday 9 April 2020 and are subject to change depending on the weather and tidal conditions.

Head to the Department of Environment and Water's website for the latest information about the program.
