Lizzie’s Monthly Message: Rhyming together everyday
This month, Lizzie says 'Rhyming together everyday helps my brain to grow'
How does it help your brain to grow?
- Rhyming helps with recognising the sounds that make up words (phonemic awareness)
- It helps build memory and articulation. By repeating tricky or less often used sounds and words it can help with pronunciation and vocabulary
- Rhyming helps with listening skills, the intonation and pattern in rhymes helps you tune in to the similarities and differences in the words
