Showshine Tools

Ben from Showshine Tools has been running his business which specialises in scaffolding for hire or sale in Adelaide and surroundings for four and a half years.

When we spoke to him, he was in the middle of constructing a large shed so he would have somewhere to store his growing stock of scaffolding, and by the look of his shed we can see he is gearing for growth!

Ben was one of our Economic Stimulus Package grant recipients, and he needed help with being found online.

He was allocated one of our Business Advisors, Ryan Jones from Refuel Creative who worked to firstly analyse Ben's existing website traffic (and re-setup how analytics was set up to be more effective). And, over the following months Ryan made changes based on keyword research, actual search behaviour and refining the wording on his website.

The results of this work have been really great and included –

  • increasing website traffic from 2 to  123 per month -
  • over 71% of visitors are now coming to the website as a result of organic search (i.e. Ben is not now having to pay for this traffic via ads)
  • he now has 11 top 3 rankings, and 16 top 10 rankings for search terms potential clients are typing into google
  • a good match between what people are searching for and what Ben's services are - in tech terms this means a low bounce rate.

This is a fantastic example of where expert setup and advice makes a tangible difference to real life customer enquiries. The benefit for a business owner they will have access to real figures and know how many people visit and where they come from - something many business owners don't have.

As we prepare for the rollout of next year's grant program, we thought it would be good to share an example of how digital experts can help improve real live results for businesses.
