Entrepreneur Program Scholarships

The City of Charles Sturt provides scholarships for local people to participate in the SAYES, Encore and Export Ready programs. Further information on the programs is included below.

SAYES South Australian Young Entrepreneur Scheme (18 to 35 years old)

Expressions of interest for the South Australian Young Entrepreneurs Scheme are now open.  Successful participants will be notified of the next intake.

 To be eligible to register you must be:
-    An Australian citizen and South Australia resident
-    Aged between 18 to 35 years at the time of applications closing
-    Ready to take your ideas or business to the next level

Encore Mentoring Program for people aged over 35 years

The Business SA Encore Program is a workshop and mentoring program for South Australians aged 35 or above looking to either establish a new business or grow an existing one. By attending monthly content specific workshops delivered by industry experts, participants will learn how to develop a comprehensive business plan and a sustainable business model. In addition, a dedicated mentor will nurture and guide participants throughout the program with monthly one-on-one mentoring sessions.

  The program will cover:

  • Strategic management
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Taxation
  • Law
  • Employee relations
  • Leadership and media

At the successful completion of the program, participants will have developed a business model, strategy and plan.
To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Demonstrate an intention to either establish a new business or grow an existing one
  • Be aged 35 or above
  • Reside in South Australia

Export Ready Program

Developed for South Australian businesses who are new to export, or those who are already exporting and want to take a more strategic approach, Business SA’s Export Ready Program is the most comprehensive series of export training presented in South Australia.
    
Participants receive professional export advice and support, and a vast array of exporting tools and resources to ensure success globally.

To participate in the program, you should be an SA Business with an ABN, operating for a minimum of two years with annual turnover of $150,000 or more.
