COVID-19 Update

Given the unfolding situation relating to COVID-19 in Australia and across the world, here at the City of Charles Sturt we want to be proactive and clear about how we can stay healthy and are making changes to the way we do things. We will continue to provide updates to the services and events that are impacted along with the latest information and recommendations from WHO, SA Health and the Government.

Smoothie bikes

Smoothie bikes are bicycles which have been fitted with a blender attachment so you can make your own healthy pedal powered smoothies.

Who can borrow the bikes?

Not For Profit education services, community services and community groups can borrow the bikes. Services need to be located in or service a significant number of Charles Sturt residents. Events should be affordable and available to the public - the smoothie bikes are not for private hire.

How can I book a smoothie bike?

We have (1x) adult and (1x) child bike (suits approx. 5-10yo) located at Findon Community Centre and The Brocas.

To book an adult or child smoothie bike from Findon Community Centre, call 8408 1310. The centre is located at 222 Findon Rd, Findon.

To Book an adult or child smoothie bike from The Brocas, call 8408 1315. The Brocas is located at 111 Woodville Rd, Woodville.

Is there a fee?

No, this is a free service to support health promotion in our community.

Do you deliver the bikes?

No, you will need to call Findon Community Centre or The Brocas to negotiate a time to pick up and drop off the smoothie bikes. The bikes are bulky because of the blender attachments but one bike can usually fit in a large car with the back seats laid flat. If you borrow two bikes you may need to do two car trips or use a trailer or work van.
