Volunteering

Our Volunteers contribute to a vibrant community life. They encourage community independence and improve the quality of life of the community.

There are a number of activities that can be enjoyed when you become a Council volunteer.

  • friendly visiting, bus driving, shopping and transport assistance
  • helping at special events, open days and displays
  • assisting at libraries and community centre activities, programs and administration
  • youth services programs
  • graffiti removal
  • gardening
  • environmental projects
  • animal management

Please note that Volunteers can only be registered where a vacancy exists and then when their application has been successful.
